The Deep River Fun Shoot Series

Show up. Shoot. Earn points all year.

We're excited to introduce the Deep River Fun Shoot Series!

A year-long points race that rewards shooters for doing what they love the most: showing up and having fun on the course!
Every monthly NSCA Fun Shoot counts toward our Series. You'll earn points simply for participating - both morning and afternoon events count toward your total - and you can earn a small bonus for finishing highest in your NSCA class (D through Master). 
At the end of the year, your lowest point event will be dropped so everyone gets a fair shot, and the shooters with the highest totals will earn cash prizes and bragging rights as the Deep River Series Champions. 
It's okay to be competitive and try to shoot your best - but this Series is really about consistency, camaraderie, and celebrating the Deep River community. Show up, shoot, enjoy the experience, and keep showing up. Every tournament matters in the Fun Shoot Series! This event is open to all!
 
Rules & Scoring

1. Event Structure
• Deep River will host 11 Fun Shoots in 2026.
• Your best 10 events will count toward your Series Total
(The Circuit Shoot will count as long as the participant is in this series).
• The Tim Parker Memorial Shoot (May) is not part of the Series and does not award points.

2. Eligibility
• Participants must complete and score combined morning and afternoon in a minimum
of six (6) monthly Fun Shoots (and a minimum of 9 morning or afternoon shoots)
to qualify for year-end awards.

3. Participation Points
• 10 points for shooting the morning shoot
• 10 points for shooting the afternoon shoot
• 25 points if you shoot both morning and afternoon on the same day
(maximum per event day: 25 points)

4. Class Bonus
• +5 bonus points awarded to the participant who finished highest in their NSCA class
D - Master for that event, as recorded in ScoreChaser.
• Class winners are determined by official ScoreChaser results only.

5. Completion Requirement
• Participants must complete the round to receive points.
• DNFs, withdrawals, no-shows, or unsubmitted scores do not earn points.

6. Score Verification
• All points - participation and class bonus - are based solely on results recorded in ScoreChaser.
• If a score does not appear in ScoreChaser, points cannot be awarded.

7. Drop Rule
• At year-end, each participant's lowest point total event (or missed event)
will be dropped automatically.

Tie-Breakers
If shooters are tied in Series Total after the drop rule, ties will be resolved in the following order:
1. Most events attended
2. Most class-high finishes (D - Master)
3. Most total rounds shot (AM + PM)
4. Higher points earned in the December Finale
5. Random draw (only if still tied)

Year-End Final & Prizes
Following the December Fun Shoot, final standings will be determined and the top
participants will be awarded:

*1st Place - $1,000   *2nd Place - $300   *3rd Place - $250

*Additionally, all participants who complete the Series will be entered into a
drawing to win one of five (5) cases of shells, a Beretta A300, and other prizes at the end of the year.
(There will also be random drawings held throughout the year).
